Looks like this is a new proprietary system that has lifted the whole concept of QR Codes and persuaded Samsung and a few providers to go with them.

Notes: it appears to have no support for Java phones but they do clainm to have support for Datamatrix codes but also say that the codes are less readable by phone cameras.

All seems strange and a pity they are fragmenting the market when most reader software seems to support Datamatrix and QR codes so far. i know there are other systems out there but this does seem a bit retrogressive.

how do we counter this? Samsung and Scanbuy is not using QR code.
Is Sony Ericsson new models support built in QR code reader?
